Why I Built Sila
It started with community
I started a community for adults and young families to grow closer to faith and each other. Over time, it grew to thousands of members and hundreds of gatherings. People made friends, found support, and built relationships that extended far beyond the events themselves.
Then the admin started taking over
Every gathering meant another spreadsheet, email blast, form, and tool to manage.
I was spending way more time coordinating tools than connecting with people.
And I realized it wasn’t just me. Every community leader I spoke to felt the same tension: as their community grew, so did the operational work, leaving less time and energy for the people they were trying to bring together.
So I built the tool I wish I had from day one.
